Randy holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in music education and trumpet performance. He studied at the University of Michigan, University of Texas and Wayne State University. He has taught band and choir for the past 35 years in local public and private school districts. As an adjunct professor at Macomb Community College, Randy ran the Jazz studies program as well as the trumpet studio for 19 years.

He has an extensive resume performing with numerous artists in many genres. You may have heard him performing at the Fox and Fisher theaters, Masonic temple, Meadowbrook, Pine knob and many other local and national venues.

Here is a short list of artists with whom he has performed: Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Lou Christy, Jay and the Americans, Gloria Gaynor, Marie Osmond, Barbara Mandrell, Roy Clark, Dennis Edward's Temptations, the Buckinghams, the Drifters, The Coasters, and many others.
